How garage door opener flash codes work
When something is wrong, the opener blinks a pattern instead of just refusing to run. The trick is that every brand does it differently, and it can even change by model within a brand, so the first step is always identifying the scheme, then counting the blinks.
The most common cause across every brand is a safety sensor (photo-eye) that's blocked, knocked out of alignment, or has a broken wire. Before you replace anything, check that both sensor LEDs are solid, not blinking.
